Ellie Jester specializes in commodities and securities law mainly concentrating in transactional matters. She has accrued expert knowledge in the investment industry through her law studies and time spent within the industry. Prior to private practice, Ms. Jester performed research for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Capital Markets Commission, supporting the Investor Protection and Opportunity Group in collecting data on U.S. capital markets. She interned at the National Association of Securities Dealers (now FINRA) in the Department of Hearing Officers and assisted in drafting decisions. She also assisted staff attorneys in the review of SRO rule change proposals with the SEC Division of Market Regulation.

Other internships in the U.S. include working at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia and Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. Ms. Jester’s international experience includes time in Germany working for Siemens AG in its internal consulting division and for Dr. Roedl Corporate Finance GmbH in Munich.

Ms. Jester received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Purdue University and a Magister Artium from Albert-Ludwigs-Univerität in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. She received her Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America where she also received her Certificate in Securities and Corporate Law.
